Religious education, through the parish office
Enroll in religious education. Classes run on Sunday mornings at St Columba's from September to May. Children usually start in first grade and prepare for First Communion in second grade.
Bring a baptism certificate. If your child was baptized in another parish, ask that parish for a copy with the date and place of baptism.
First Reconciliation. The children make their first confession on Saturday, March 13, 2027, at 9:50 AM, with a parents' evening two weeks before.
First Holy Communion. Saturday, May 15, 2027, at 10:30 AM at St Columba's. Rehearsal is the Thursday before at 5:15 PM. White dress or suit is common, not required.
Fees. $45 per child covers books and the First Communion certificate. Tell Maeve quietly if that's a problem; no child is left out for it.
